Terms of Service – Digital Pattern Blocks
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of digital pattern block products ("Blocks") from [Techstyle Studio] ("we", "us", "our") via our website. By purchasing a Block, you agree to these Terms.
1. Product Inclusions
Each Block purchase includes:
• Up to 2 basic fit alterations to suit your brand
• StyleCAD digital pattern + DXF file
• Basic Tech Pack including Graded Spec, BOM and Make Notes in Excel
• Adobe Illustrator CAD file
Optional
• CLO3D Render (available at additional cost)
• Printed pattern subject to postage fees
• Alterations beyond the basic 2 included
All files are delivered digitally via email. You must ensure your email address is correct at checkout.
2. Delivery & Communication
After purchase:
• You will receive an email confirmation of your order. You can reply to this email with your alteration requirements or wait for Techstyle Studio to contact you.
• You will receive your base digital files via email within 14 business days from confirmation of alterations required. Lead time is subject to change and will be advised.
• We will contact you by email to confirm your two included alterations and to discuss any brand-specific customisation.
• Additional alterations or services beyond the included scope may incur further charges.
3. Alterations Policy
Your purchase includes up to two (2) minor alterations to tailor the block to your brand. These must be requested within 14 days of receiving your initial files.
Examples of minor alterations include:
• Adjusting measurements to suit your size chart
• Small fit tweaks or detail changes
Major structural changes may require a custom quote.
CLO3D Alterations
Alterations made to the CLO3D garment simulation are not included in the base price and will be quoted separately (price on application). Please contact us to discuss your needs.
4. Usage Rights & Licensing
All Blocks are sold under a non-exclusive, non-transferable license for commercial use by the purchaser only.
You may:
• Use the files to develop and produce garments for your brand.
• Modify the files internally for your own purposes.
You may not:
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the files in original or modified form.
• Share the files with third parties except those directly involved in your brand’s production process (e.g. factory, grader).
5. Refunds & Exchanges
Due to the digital and custom nature of these products, we do not offer refunds or exchanges. If you believe there has been an error in your files or delivery, please contact us within 3 days of receiving your order.
6. Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for any loss, damage, or costs resulting from:
• Improper use or application of the files
• Technical issues with your software or systems
• Delays in communication or file delivery due to inaccurate contact details provided by the customer
7. File Compatibility & Software Requirements
It is your responsibility to ensure you have the appropriate software to open and use the files provided.
• Patterns are provided in StyleCAD and DXF format
• Tech Packs are supplied in Microsoft Excel (.xlsx)
• CADs are supplied in Adobe Illustrator (.ai)
We are not responsible for incompatibility with unsupported or outdated software.
8. Custom Work & Additional Services
Custom pattern development, detailed fit consultations, and design work beyond the included scope are available upon request and will be quoted separately. Please reach out to discuss timelines and pricing.
9. Intellectual Property
While you retain rights to your final garments, the underlying pattern blocks and related digital assets remain the intellectual property of Techstyle Studio.
You are granted a commercial license to use them in your own brand’s development and production, but not to claim the pattern or CAD work as your own creation.
10. Confidentiality
Any materials or information shared with us for the purpose of customising your blocks will be treated confidentially and not shared outside of Techstyle Studio or your nominated production partners.
11. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for any delay or failure to perform due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, internet outages, third-party service failures, or governmental actions.
12. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be posted on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Shrinkage
Techstyle Blocks are made without shrinkage built into the pattern.
This is because each fabric shrinks differently.
When you are using woven fabric with your factory, please follow the below steps to work out the most accurate % of shrinkage to build into the pattern. Please ask your factory to adjust the pattern accordingly or let us know the % of shrinkage and we can apply and send back to you.
• take shrinkage test pieces from several fabric rolls — not from the very beginning of the roll, but from at least 5 meters in, as the beginning of the roll is often distorted from tension.
• cut or mark two test samples sized 50×50 cm. One is steamed thoroughly with heavy steam, the other is washed following the temperature provided by the fabric supplier.
• After washing, dry the sample flat (not hanging), then compare the measurements of both pieces (one steamed, one washed).
• compare all pieces from different fabric rolls to get a more accurate result.
• calculate the average shrinkage and apply it as an X and Y percentage only at the print stage via the CAD system. never apply shrinkage directly to the original pattern - this keeps the base pattern clean and ensures accurate future reproduction, even if the garment is produced again later using different fabric.
• If the shrinkage percentage is above 5%, consider the fabric faulty.
