Block Library for Better Fit and Faster Development
At Techstyle Studio, we’ve built an extensive library of blocks that reflect real Australian sizing and industry standards - designed to reduce development time and improve fit from day one.
Our block library is available for purchase and can be used as a reference point when building new ranges, helping your team start from a solid foundation rather than guessing or buying reference samples that may not align with your brand.
We also work with brands to develop bespoke block libraries - tailored to your fit, aesthetic and customer. Whether you're starting fresh or looking to standardise across categories, having your own set of approved blocks can streamline development and ensure consistency season after season.
Start with the right block, everything that follows becomes easier - fewer fit issues, faster approvals, and garments your customers want to wear again and again.
Supporting Junior Product Developers in Fit Development
One of the biggest challenges junior product developers face is understanding fit - not just what looks good on paper, but what works on the body.
At Techstyle Studio, we believe fit training is a crucial investment. A tech pack alone won’t teach you how a shoulder should sit, or how a pattern needs to change when the bust point is too low. That kind of knowledge comes from hands-on experience and we can help provide it.
We work closely with brands to upskill junior team members by:
- Reviewing fit samples together
- Explaining fit issues and the pattern adjustments needed
- Teaching how to communicate fit changes clearly to offshore teams
- Building confidence in making development decisions
When junior product developers understand fit, communication with makers improves, development rounds are reduced, and garments go to market with fewer issues- ultimately saving time, money, and frustration.
Fit isn't just a technical detail. It's the foundation of a product that sells, wears well, and gets worn again.
If you’re building a team and want them to learn from experienced garment techs and pattern makers, we’re here to help
Bespoke Block Library & Fit Development Services
At Techstyle Studio, we work with established brands to streamline product development by building custom block libraries and reducing the need for repeated sample rounds.
We specialise in creating solid fit foundations that allow internal teams to confidently develop new product, without the ongoing reliance on a garment technician or pattern maker.
Here’s how it works:
We start by reviewing your range plan and fit requirements.
You can select styles from our pre-approved block library as a starting point, which we then refine and expand into a bespoke block library tailored to your brand.
Each block includes patterns, tech packs, graded specs, and sample references.
We run a hands-on workshop with your product team to train them on how to use the blocks to develop product directly with your factory.
Fit is established and approved early in the process, so first samples are often production-ready.
We can also build your entire range in CLO 3D, allowing you to visualise garments and make confident decisions without producing physical samples, saving time, cost, and waste.
Once the range is confirmed, only the purchased styles need to be sampled.
By establishing your own block library and upskilling your internal team, this approach significantly reduces your ongoing need for garment tech or pattern support.
Our involvement can continue across seasonal updates, range extensions, or new categories, ensuring consistency in fit, construction, and brand integrity as your product evolves.
