Looking ahead to 2026 at Techstyle Studio
Share
As we step into the new year, we wanted to share what we’ve been working on and where we’re heading.
1. Sustainability, in practice
Over the past year, we’ve onboarded and fully vetted several new factories with strong ethical and sustainability certifications, and we’re now moving into production with them across a number of brands and continue to strengthen our relationship with them.
We’ve also spent significant time sourcing genuinely lower-impact fabrics, including low-MOQ GOTS-certified cottons and Tencel–hemp blends. This kind of groundwork is something many smaller brands simply don’t have the time or resources to do, so we see it as part of our role to do that heavy lifting on their behalf and pass on access to better materials and suppliers from day one.
Alongside this, we continue to reduce sampling waste by using CLO3D for first pattern reviews. This allows us to assess fit and construction in hours rather than weeks, cutting down on cost, time, and unnecessary physical samples.
2. Refining our block library and fit-first process
We’re continuing to refine and expand our block library, fine-tuning it in preparation for launches later this year.
Our Fit First Technology® process starts every garment from a proven base block that has been tested and refined on real bodies. This approach helps brands achieve consistent fit, reduce development rounds, lower CO₂ impact, and move through production more efficiently.
3. Education and community
Education remains a big focus for us. We’ve had a great response to the Techstyle Studio Founders Hub, a free community designed to support startups and small brands with best-practice design, development, and production knowledge.
We’ve shared free resources like our Start Up Brand Toolkit and will continue supporting emerging labels through mentorship and practical guidance.
4. Strengthening supplier relationships
As part of our continued growth, we’ll be visiting several of our partner factories and suppliers across Asia in the first half of the year. Building strong, long-term relationships is central to how we work, not just for our own knowledge, but to support our clients, particularly smaller brands who don’t always have the ability or capacity to travel offshore themselves.
Having already met many of our partners during their visits to Australia, we’re looking forward to spending time on their side, seeing production firsthand, and strengthening those relationships so our clients can move forward with greater confidence and clarity.
What are you most excited about for 2026? We’d love to hear what you’re working towards.
